that's a kinda bad breeder right there lol and no offense to anybody, but i'm tired of listening to people complain about dual summon the skill itself has its own expense too you have just that much more microing to do in order to at least be DECENT you have no idea how much i had to practice dual summon dualing before i got it down decent at least now still trying to perfect it there's so many ways to counter dual summon but i don't wanna share it here In my case, we were both lvl 54, and he had summoned an R4 orc and R4 skell. With all 3 attacking me (I timed it the first time) it takes about 2.5 seconds for me to be completely out of hp from completely full with my vit buff on. I'll let you know how I played it, and you can tell me how I did it wrong. I kited until duel summoning was over, kept on kiting while both the breeder and the skell were chasing me, then stunned and nuked the crap out of the breeder the best I could while he was trying to resummon. Since I can't keep him incapacitated for very long, he got his orc back out and the kiting resumed. He caught me with CoT by orc, and then I was dead. My fight looked very similar to this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W4-1n0pagE So how did I do it wrong? How would you have beaten a breeder duel summoning two R4 pets if you were a lvl 54? Oh, also, with pass damage, I was doing literally nothing with even my highest skills. Face it Dee, duel summoning is overpowered. I know it's hard to control, but honestly, it's still really, really good. However, also recognize that by saying duel summoning is overpowered, I'm not saying it's invincible. And actually, I wasn't whining about it, I was saying I had more things I wanted to try and that I hadn't given up. There's a way around everything in this game. Trust me, there is.

I think maybe a high level mage (has meteor shower) with a red pixie could incapacitate pet classes and get them before the fear is over. Anyone tried that before? Pet classes have pass damage but they don't have much against spells so it could probably work. It would seem that knight classes fare poorest in PVP, but I'm more of a RPG player than PVPer so I don't really mind

duel summoners are kinda hard to beat, i just constantly kite and hope that the arena isnt too laggy lol xD but yea...i let my friend (darkzmage xD) use my orc and his yeti and i used his hawk (lvl60 lol) but i still was able to beat him. yea i kited a lot, but i was able to take the damage when he stunned me or w/e. he doesnt really like to duel summon though, so when the other pet was gone i just went and did some dmg with mace, but when he had two pets again i would use spell damage. was a sorta hard battle i think i had like 5k mp left dont remember xD

Right... Dual summoning isn't overpowered... that's the understatement of the year. Calling of Thunder = instant stun, and it lasts 5 seconds, and it has lag damage. Follow that up with Snowman's heavy blow, which lasts 10 seconds That's how you kill a cm, since you get to start off far enough away from the character to make the first hit. It's not so difficult once you get that part down. Aside from knights/soldiers/champs, there is no class that can take a 15 second beating from an orc, a yeti, and a breeder and still be alive. Even for knights and soldier's we'd be limping by then, and we don't even get a chance to cast anything. Not to mention, breeders have 9k hp + pass damage (about 30% damage reduction I think) That trumps pretty much any class too. Just tossing out some numbers for you dee

all i gotta say is that for musicman: i have been owned badly by both priest and bishop while dual summoning for plat: i have been beaten badly, not just once, but 3 times in a row also by the knight i mentioned one more to add, use your pets they're your friends that's what those people did one other thing, breeders have no disables or stuns like evoker or sorcs do once i get a hang of my priest, which i wished it was a bishop, i will use it and fight dual summoning pet classes oh and maru did i say best? i meant 2nd best te amo bonita~ you know that

My question for you is:
Did the priest/bishop kite till duel summoning was over? Or stand there and melee you right at the beginning?
P.S. I really want to try something out, but I need to lvl my cleric a little higher, get some better buffs, and rock pin first.
Spring break is after tomorrow!!! That means I can play!! YAY!!!
(I mean "play" as in more than 1-6 hours a week)

IMO, no Bishop worth his weight should ever be pounding on you with a melee weapon...we're casters pure and simple. Also, Rock Pin is one of my favorite spells. I, however, really need to start going to the arena more as I am not very good at PvP.

rofl swiffy =p
for musicman:
yes the priest kited, but no the bishop didn't, bishop has more disables/stuns than priest do they're really more offensive type though both were higher level than me then

Dee you should be summoning the 2nd pet when the dual countdown is on, don't do it when the duel already started, that way you can attack straight away with 2 pets and yourself.
1 Orc and 1 Yeti both using their stuns one after the other would do serious damage. I don't think pets from a non-pet class can do much to a pet class with pass damage on.

I don't think pets from a non-pet class can do much to a pet class with pass damage on. Have you ever fought a pet class in the arena? To last longer than 10 seconds you need your own pet. I'm not even kidding that breeder could melee me from full hp with vit buff to 0 hp in 2.5 seconds. That means any wrong move I made, any wrong spell I casted, any misplaced acid swamp, any incorrect CoT by my poultry, meant death. When I get higher lvl I assume I won't have the pleasure of facing 2 lvl 80+ pets in the same duel, but honestly for now that's what breeders do. I don't know a single breeder lower than lvl 60 who actually uses pets their lvl in pvp. For Dee: Bishop does get rock pin, but other than that all their good stuns and stuff that priests don't have come at jlvl 40. Also, I don't know how effective those skills are.
