When I get to a lvl where I will be doing dungeon sieges, it will be necessary. I still log faster than half the 3x, 4x, 5x server. Not even kidding.

Your computer actually runs rappelz? It sounds like my laptop... which doesn't even run it.

By the way, your computer does have a video card.

Not necessarily - if its a notebook with chipsetgraphic its no videocard... its only a graphic-processing-unit That's a difference because a videocard always has its own dedicated memory

I stand corrected. I didn't know chipset GPUs could be good enough to play rappelz though. Until I looked it up after reading your post

There's a difference between integrated video and external video. When we say 'no video card' we mean integrated video chip. This is shared with the RAM and also has crappy functionality no matter what kind it is. When people say Nvidia or ATI chipsets, those are all externals. They have their own cooling, and their own memory, and look better, and take up more space. They also do lots of snappy things that you probably don't care about. It's enough just to have a big fat colorful card sticking out of your motherboard.

Nice system Theoneandonly. That should help greatly. You guys have some nice equipment. My home built system is no screamer but handles the game just fine. Amd dual core, 2gb ram, 250gb SATA, 7xxx series geforce graphics w/256mb ram, on windows xp. My new laptop runs Vista and appears to use a little over 1gb ram just idling at the desktop. Good thing it has 4gb ram and 512mb dedicated ram on geforce 8600. It seems to run the game just fine as well but doesn't seem to be any faster than my desktop. Maybe the difference between xp and vista.

Be nice to your sis Plat. I'm still gaming on the same laptop that I've had for 3 years now, about time for a renewal system at work though ;D (It is currently a 2ghz Pentium M with 2gb of RAM, a 256mb ATI card, and a 120gb SATA harddrive though).
