what? that doesn't even make sense... you can also approximate the mass to be a point mass, so what? and read my post about momentum, as linear momentum must be conserved. And if the collision is elastic, then kinetic energy is conserved as well. and besides... I can complicate the problem more by saying the surface is frictionless. What now you puny elephant!
