But as far as the technical aspects of the game went, [Seph] had the stuff down wayyyyy before anyone else was getting a clue. When he was about L40, he had the DP down to a science. He was also one of the first to come up with good seige plans. I think he was frustrated because Guardians wasnt really strong enough to take on the dungeon. In the end, he got tired of all the Drama in the game and decided that merging with Blessed was a good idea. He quit soon after.

I am not disagreeing that Seph was a great player. However, just to give you some perspective... this game is 80-90% similar to its predecessor game Lineage (which was the most widely played Korean MMORPG at the time w/ 4 million subscribers compared to another MMORPG of that time Everquest at 500k) All of the idiosyncracies of this game are near mirror to its predecessor, such as pet systems, aggro, siege signups, arenas, guilds, and guild alliances along with all the chat types. Even the pillars in the mines are reminiscent of Lineage. (what are they used for in this game? Are they knocked down like they were in Lineage during sieges? If not, why are they there?) Every character play type literally had its counterpart in Lineage. The same can be said of the force chips and soul chips. Lineage had brave potions that sped up the fighter's attacks and dmg by 2x (not sure the exact speed increase etc.)
The DP tactics have all been done before, same with siege tactics. I think even Blessed and Guardians were in Lineage b4 this game... like 6-7 years ago (same with the emblems... they're that old). Even the name Ultimate is a ripoff fro my old guild in Lineage. ( I was one of officers of that guild).
Sieges were truly badass in that game... cuz it really consisted of thousands of ppl. U can still find pics... it was literally a flood.

it's true mmo's are mostly grinding, but it's only as much as you want it to be. I admit that solo grinding gets old after a very short while, but there are other things you can do if you choose to do so.

Wow... Didn't intend my comments to be taken that seriously. I realize that this game is a close cousin to L2. I've never played it, but I've heard that consistently. Regardless of where he got his skills from, Seph was one of the first around to be truely good at several aspects of the game...
I wouldnt say that the guild names are rip offs... These names mentioned are really common. Ive seen both Guardians and Ultimate in FlyFF... I doubt there is any connection. However, if the icons are the same, then that is interesting. I've always wondered exactly what our icon is.

well i was referring to L1, which is like one of the oldest mmorpgs out there next to Ultima online. The sieges in that game were fantastic...the screen WAS filled with ppl... not literally.
