@swiffy It's easy, press F11 (the one with Prnt Scrn) and then open up MS Paint or any other image editing software, press Ctrl + V or paste. To find your system information, if you're using Windows it's usually located at Control Panel > System and Maintenance > System @theone Wow damn, your computer is a processing beast. This piece of shit laptop cost me RM3.4k How much did you get yours for? Here's my system information

Yup - 99% first app i load if i dont need program in visual studio or do GFX stuff in illustrator (game guard hates these real much xD).
I build my system myself... its almost 1.5 years old now haha ^^ time is passing by real fast. These days i payd like maybe 850,- Euros for all the components i think. Its not too fast in reading/writing from my HDDs because the Intel onBoard Raid sux pretty much :S.
Its even faster without raid functionality but i like my data to be redundant because i have alotta important business files on my computer and im too lazy to really backup weekly xD
BTW i like this emo girl... she needs help? I'd gladly listen to her problems *evil thoughts* ^^

@theone 850 Euro = MYR 4245.26 (MYR currency in my country Malaysia, Ringgit) That's actually cheaper than if I buy a laptop with that spec in my country right now Maybe electronics is cheaper in Germany we could do a cost of living comparison, that might be interesting no idea what "Raid" is.. So what kind of work do you do since you mentioned visual studio and Illustrator what emo girl, do you mean the girl from the 3rd desktop I posted? That's Avril Lavigne

RAID stand for R(edundant)A(rray of)I(ndepentend)D(isks). It needs special controllers to manage several disks in special RAID modes (mirroring = 2 or more harddisks are shown to the system as one disk and all contain the same content at any time so that if one fails you dont lose data, striping = 2 or more harddisks are shown to the system as one disk and the data is spread through all disks randomly - so you get 2x HDD write/read speed if 2 HDDs, 3x speed if 3 HDDs and so on in theory only of coarse - but if one disk is damaged the data on all disks is useless, and a few more mode like Raid 5 or combinations). I run 2 disks in mirroring mode to have redundant data, but my intel onboard raid controller (Intel ICH9R) sucks real bad and is slower than in nonraid mode haha, even tho reading should be faster (on write mode mirroring has no speed benefit anyways) xD

Hey phanta if it makes you feel better, my first event hours were wasted with bying a new GFX card xD My good old GeForce 8800GTX decided to turn into dust and melted plastic Well not really but actually it seems like its broken now To your question: I am student and run my own computerbusiness (pretty much all around computers... software, hardware, network, telefones, teaching... as long as the price is correct i'd even satisfy sexy secretaries for money haha j/k Visuel studio i mostly use for my studies... i dont like C and its derivates that much... im more into java (php for web applications). Illustrator and all the other Adobe crap proggies (AfterEffects, Photoshop, Flash,...) i mostly need for studies but the results sell quite good so i start using these for my business more and more too. More and mroe customers want to pimp their functional websites with cool lil flash gimmicks. I personally hate annoying, irritating, shiny animation crap... but as long as it gets payed well i give customers what they ask for lol xD

Hey Theone, if you are using a RAID 1 why would you think it would be faster since it's writing the same chunks of data to two or more hdds at the same time. Or do you have your OS on a RAID 0?

Nope i have mirroring (Raid 1).
You are right and as i said writing has no speed benefit because its the computer writes twice the data on each harddrive.
But actually on reading the OS can get one block of a file from the one disk and next block from the other disk - so can load one file from 2 harddisks simultanously with theoretically twice speed by combining the blocks that were read from 2 different harddrives. It can do so because both disks are exactly the same (mirrored).
But like i mentioned the Intel onBoard controller sucks and both is even slower than on nonraid xD

@theone lol, is it really possible for GFX card to melt and turn into dust? I've never melted anything with prolonged use before. ja, wasting HD space with no increase of speed = bad Cool that, you work with graphic apps. I'm learning Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, After Effects and Premiere by myself. The learning curve is just too steep It's taking lot of my time away from other hobbies and Rappelz... I'll forever be stuck at lvl 81, hahahah Vista Critical Error while running an antivirus scan, lol?
