Just bought this game last week, I've been a long time fan of Fallout series  too bad Interplay got bankrupted and now the game is being made by another company. I've been playing this game for quite a bit now, so i was just wondering if anyone else plays this game too ;D |

I have been playing it. Looking at the quests described on the web I can see I am about 2/3 of the way through the main quest.
I think I may have lost interest in the last few weeks and doubt I'll finish it. I did finish Oblivion, and I have enjoyed Fallout 3 so far, but it somehow got kind of old after a time. I don't know. I did finally get the Power Armor Training, so it's fun to go hunt for Enclave soldiers and Brotherhood Outcasts, but I may have had enough even of that.
I am not liking some of the quests. They force you to do weird things, or prevent you from doing things you'd naturally do. I won't ruin the ending, but I'm sure you've read about it.
During the "Trouble on the Homefront" quest you have to go back to Vault 101 and help resolve a problem. Amata tells you about it on the radio. Minor spoiler so stop here...
... It's silly that no matter how you resolve it, you are locked out of the Vault after that. Why can't you go back, even if there are no more quests associated with it?
I know they were faithful to the Fallout vision of "not OUR future, but the World of Tomorrow as imagined in the 1950s." But it doesn't ring true to me that there would be this advanced world with 1950s social norms.
Non-killable children (you wouldn't WANT to kill them, but it breaks the illusion when they can't die. You don't even need to protect them, they are indestructible.). Immortal characters who are needed for quests. Invisible force fields along the edges of the screen (Morrowind handled this better; an island with an endless sea around it).
All in all, I liked it but have little interest in playing more.

I know what you mean. In Fallout 2 you could actually kill the kids. You would lose karma and have wanted posters posted in main cities with bounty hunters trying to hunt you down for being a rat bastard. I was a Fallout 1 and 2 fan, meanwhile Fallout 3 was made by another company which changed alot of the things. I think they were too much influenced by Oblivion. I didn't like that game. I guess the quests choices ended up being what the game designers morals are. The game world is huge to explore but there isn't much interactions with it. And like you said the quests have limited choices. They took out a lot of content that made the original series good. This game wasn't meant to be a shoot-em up game so the gameplay didn't quite fit the storyline. Most RPG games are like that, doing quests, go to this area, kill a bunch of monsters, retrieve quest item etc. Everything gets old after a while, even Rapplez  I've almost completed the game, just doing up all the other side quests before continuing the main plot. One thing I liked was they had good voice actors, that's all I can think of, lol |

Me too Best Shooter ever imo , awesome game play Yh its an Awsome shoot-em-up, but dont forget halo im having a hard time deciding which i like better, i think they both get joint first place =P |
